AA-ISP Silicon Valley Chapter Meeting: [Wanted] New Sales Development Tactics

Business professionals all over the world from all industries are frustrated with the amount of spam/junk mail they receive from vendors trying to "sell stuff". Everyday their inboxes are under attack with poorly written emails coupled with poor sales tactics from reps trying to generate new business. The worst part is that many of the poor sales tactics come from reps that work for the sales tools vendors themselves.

There must be a better way.

Our community is on a mission to figure out what is the best approach and best practice to engage a new prospective customer in 2017. Is it Social Selling, Account Based Marketing, Cold Calling, Cadence/Sequence Emails, or a combination of all the above? Are the tools the problem or is it the reps using the tools the issue? How do we prepare our sales organization to engage prospective customers? How do we prepare them to use the tools available to them? How do we know they are doing a good job? Finally, how do we ensure our sales reps are focused on the most meaningful sales development activities that actually work, as opposed to the over hyped methods the sales tools vendors want you to buy.

In our next chapter meeting, these are just some of the questions that will be answered by our panel of thought leaders and practitioners. They will share what they feel is the best approach, which tools they recommend and the tactics that work they think work the best.
