AA-ISP Columbus Chapter: Annual performance appraisals - Love them or hate them?

We’re into quarter three and these annual reviews will be here faster than we anticipate. A leader's ability to provide metrics, incentives, vision, and development opportunities are necessary to growing and retaining top talent. In this interactive format, we will have three stations with different topics all focused on annual reviews and best practices. We will form small groups around each topic changing stations every 15-20 minutes, so everyone gets to participate in each topic.

• Frequency and data – what metrics drive great results? Any tools to assist in this task? How often is data collected and shared? What is shared during weekly/monthly/quarterly 1:1s?
• Goal Setting (company-focused) – how do we set expectations? Which goals are focused on Leadership vs Mngt vs Individual?
• Career Development (externally focused) – Company commitment (budget/classes/conferences etc.), Who is responsible for development – manager or employee?

Please note, AA-ISP Chapter Meetings are a benefit of AA-ISP Membership. Beginning July 2022, non-members are invited to attend 1 meeting as a non-member. Additional participation requires active membership in the association at the time of registration.
