My marketing team has two buttons on our website - one is "Request a Quote" and the other is "Request a Demo". My Business Development Reps typically run into trouble with the people that request a quote because all they want is a price and not to schedule a call to actually talk further. I've been trying to get marketing to remove that button but they refuse because so many people click on it apparently. I don't think the quality of these leads are very good because the people who just want a quote aren't serious about evaluating our software and it can be a real waste of time. We don't want to sell on price, we want to be selling on value. I'm curious if anyone in the community has run into a similar situation or has any ideas about how I can convince marketing to at least do a test by removing this option for potential customers.
