I'm in the process of interviewing inside sales reps (0-1 year of experience) for our team. Would it be too aggressive to ask for a mock cold call after the initial pre-screen BEFORE the 1st interview? Perhaps they pitch the last product they sold on the phone so it's something they should be comfortable with. I'm trying to find better ways to better vet candidates before setting up interviews. Thanks.
